You're one microscopic cog in his catastrophic plan

Thesising continues unabated. Finishing by the end of the month is overly optimistic, but I've decided to continue to bust my hump until its done. So, my social life will continue to be unexistant for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately I start teaching that University Writing course (2 3hour days a week) next week. That'll wear me right the heck out. Still, short term pain, long term gain; onward and upwards and any other cliche you can think of.

Are you making hay while the sun shines? Will you strike while the iron is hot? I think that in this instance ‘in for a penny, in for a pound’ definitely applies.
Just remember that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, and that a stitch in time saves nine. Also, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
Perhaps I’ll think up something more to entertain you whilst thesising...but you should know that I miss your sarcastic presence. As they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder....or is it: out of sight, out of mind?? Surely not!
‘Enjoy’ the rest of this ‘foreseeable future’ – hopefully we’ll see you more in October!

And Mike, I just want you to know that it’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.

zeb, I wasn't sure that I would ever have to call you a dork

but the time has come

(ps, the thought of you reading this ie. me calling you a dork, has caused me to erupt in a fit of giggles)

Mike, way to thesis. I expect comments on my blog as soon as is possible

Waste not, want not. A penny saved is a penny earned. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush... I don't know what that one means. People say it, but I have no idea. Sounds slightly inappropiate though.

It's very simple mike (I used it as well..). You'd think an english prof would be able to figure it out!
rather than go after the two birds that you may or may not catch in that bush over there, you should content yourself with the one that you're actually holding...ie. it's not a good idea to get greedy, cuz you might lose your grip on the things you already have.
or something.
Cheryl, I fully realize my dorkiness.
