This wasn't so much a poem as a plea for someone to return a missing toy dolphin that I turned into a poem. I loved that upon first reading it, I wasn't sure if they actually were talking about a toy.
You can take the time; however I would suggest that only if we accept emo's whole-sale ownership over all things angsty and melodramatic. If Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach (the quotation is from their song, "Painted From Memories")are emo, well, then so am I, I fear. The original quotation ('That well-known name awakens all my woes') was equally "emo-ish", but comes from Pope's "Eeliosa to Abelard". If I come to class wearing blackliner... maybe we'll have a problem. *shrugs*

I found a poem written on the wall, in one of the spires atop the Sacre-Coeur in Paris
I wrote it down somewhere... I'll have to dig that up again

Elvis is the king of emo! Did you ever hear any of the songs he use to skate around to during the Olympics?
I'm not really worried about the eye liner, it's those tight jeans that scare me. Hope your weekend is good buddy.
I think you're thinking about Elvis Stojko. Elvis Costello... he's different. Not so much jumping around for one thing.
awwww I'm sad. You think I'm dumb enough to not know who Elvis Costello is:(
I'm just joshing ya'. Guess sarcasm doesn't always come through in the ol' typing.
